The packaging makes me think Urban Decay glitter but no one seems to know for sure.

Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Pencil

Some people are guessing that the eyeliner is Starlooks, upon closer inspection of the writing I believe it is Mally.
The rest of the products seem quite inexpensive. I am hoping the pallet has the same quality as a Wet & Wild pallet.

No doubt about it, this is a Zoya nail polish, one of my favorite brands. The ones pictured seem like they are from the Awaken Collection, specifically in Dot and Hudson.

Ipsy Vs. Birchbox October 2013

Even though I knew what I was getting in both boxes, because I cant wait for anything in my life if I can know ahead of time, its still fun to see what other people got in their respective bags and boxes.

Lets start with Birchbox, since they continue to be the underdog.

I was sort of excited when I opened by Birchbox, Im on the iffy side now. I do like everything I received but there are some things I didnt like.

The Goods

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit- Retail Price: $24.50 Sample Value: $9.00 this price is taking into account the separate cost of the cleanser and the cloths.

I really really like the box it came in. I like it more than the fact that Birchbox gave the cloth and the cleanser as two separate items. I do like the sample, I used it last night which is why the cloth looks weird in the picture. I just think if its a set, dont count it as two separate items.

Alison Raffaele Reality Base Foundation- Retail Price: $38.00 Sample Value: $?? No clue maybe $3.00

This is one of the weirdest sample packages I’ve ever seen. The bottle is so tiny. I swatched on my hand and it seems like the coverage is good. I will use it.

POP Beauty Aqua Lacquer- Retail Price: $14.00 Sample Value: $14.00

I was excited when I saw this full size gloss. Drawbacks, it is really sticky and jelly. It has a paddle brush applicator which is not very user friendly. It does smell good, and tingles. Also has really good shine and decent color payoff for a gloss.

ChapStick® Hydration Lock- Retail Value: $2.50 Sample Value: $2.50

Im down for chapstick. Im a lip balm junkie, I have 3 next to my bed already, this will join my little family. It smells good and feels moisturizing.

This was a decent box with a few drawbacks. I will use all the products. That foundation sample kills me lol.

I always thoroughly enjoy my Ipsy experiences each month. Look how pretty it is.

The Goods

Zoya Nail Polish in Neve- Retail Value: $8.00 Sample Value: $8.00

I love me some Zoya polish. Very nice color. I have already tried it, do not have a manicure planned yet though.

Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Shimmers in Emotion- Retail Value: $14.99 Sample Value: $14.99

This is a swatch of the shimmer on my hand. I need to get better lighting. A little goes a long way with this stuff, as it is with most pigments. Very lovely.

Sexy Hair Blow Dry Gel- Retail Value: $5.00 Sample Value: $5.00

Though this isnt a full size, technically it is. This is the travel size they sell in stores. I havent used this yet, but I will one day, when my hair is long enough to necessitate blow-drying.

Coastal Scents Medium Shadow Brush- Retail Value: $2.49 Sample Value: $2.49

I accidentally cut the top off the package when I opened the bag. The brush feels like decent quality, it will go in the collection of brushes I am giving to my sister for Christmas.

La Fresh® Eco-Beauty® Oil-Free Face Cleanser Wipes- Retail Value: $10.00 Sample Value: $3.33

Good timing with these. I love putting these in my purse and Im almost out of the current pack Im using.

Nails of the day

I did a new manicure and it is completely classic.

I used a few items from my blush boxes and a recent hautelook haul.

The look:

This is a simple red manicure with a gold chunky glitter accent nail. Maybe I was feeling a bit in the holiday spirit.

The Supplies
LVX nail lacquer in Sanguine

Recent addition to my obscene collection from my blush mystery beauty box. Retails for $16.00

elf (eyes.lips.face) nail polish in gold star

Obtained from a Hautelook order a monthish ago. Came in a set of 10 mini polishes.

Woohoo for Hautelook and elf.

Of course after I follow up with the staples of my cuticle oil and my pro-fx complete 3 polish. Not in that order. It’s what I’m holding in the look picture. Awesome stuff. Huge, cheap and a staple in my nail routine.

Finishing touch with MOR hand cream in snow gardenia.

I’m not sure I can describe how mmmm this smells. It is strong though. I can’t use it around Brendan. Retails for $20.00 and was graciously given to me in one of my earlier blush mystery beauty boxes.

So yeah. Pretty pretty red mani with gold accent. More than likely I will take it off and do another mani tonight or tomorrow.
